In 2019, Sonya was introduced to Andrew Wommack’s life-changing teaching on Spirit, Soul and Body, which became a profound personal awakening. Although Sonya accepted Jesus at the age of 16, it was this teaching that reignited a deep hunger for the Word of God and intimacy with Jesus. Charis became the turning point that redefined her destiny and direction. After a career in Social Work, Sonya stepped fully into her calling in ministry and serves as the Director for Charis Bible College, Toronto.
What she received through revelation, she now carries with conviction. She believes true transformation happens when truth is not only taught but encountered.
Sonya has been married to her husband, Deylan, since 2011, and they are blessed with a beautiful daughter. Together, they share a heart for family and serving Jesus.

Deylan accepted Jesus Christ in the year 2000 at the age of 15. After experiencing healing from severe stuttering, asthma, and memory challenges shortly after receiving Christ, he developed a deep passion to serve Jesus wholeheartedly.
While working in aircraft maintenance, he stepped into ministry and began serving in gospel crusades and conferences and helping lead worship. In 2009, Deylan moved to Toronto and pursued his post-graduate degree in Supply Chain Management. During this time, the Lord birthed within him a deep hunger for the Word of God. Motivated by this life changing understanding of our identity in Christ, he enrolled at Charis Bible College and graduated in 2022. Today, Deylan serves as the Hybrid Coordinator, overseeing Admissions and Missions, and is committed to helping believers walk in the fullness of God’s purpose for their lives.
He is also a devoted husband to Sonya Rodrigues and a loving father, cherishing his role in building a Christ-centered home.

In 2015, Sonia graduated as one of the first fruits of Charis Bible College – Toronto, Canada. Sonia’s journey to Charis was out of a desperate need for more of God’s unconditional love for her once she discovered the true nature of God, her identity in Him and the authority she was given as a child of God.
Sonia’s love of the word and the teaching she received in her two years at Charis propelled her to complete Year 3 in the Leadership track offered in 2015-16 school year. Upon completion, Sonia sought opportunities to volunteer and was rewarded with an opportunity to serve under the then directors at the time as a facilitator on the Day School team as well as with the Correspondence Program for two years.
In 2018, Sonia was invited to apply for the reception/customer service positioned and then as the Administrator for the launch of eCharis. Sonia’s passion for people and the word makes her the ideal candidate for this position. She currently continues to serve in this capacity as the program transitioned into Charis Online Campus as the main format for remote learning.
